Citation Bar – FTI – Field Training Instructor Citation Bar

This FTI – Field Training Instructor Bar is extremely durable and meant to stand up to the rigors of public safety work and inclement weather conditions. The citation bar is 1-3/4 inch long x 5/16 inches high, with double, extra-long, lapel pin posts.  Each post is extended in length in order to ensure that the posts can be secured properly on a leather citation bar badge holder.  The posts are long enough to clear the width of the leather and then have enough length for a lapel pin back to grasp the post.

The Field Training Instructor’s Citation Bar is worn as a billet bar or also known as an indicator citation bar.  It signifies that the instructor that is wearing the FTI Bar is a Field Training Instructor.  A Field Training Instructor is a specially trained instructor that is responsible for getting rookie or new officers acclimated to the field or roadwork.

Their responsibilities include training the new officer the departmental rules and regulations, acclimate the officer to their new environments, etc.
